Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) - Travel Assignment in Baltimore, MD

• Location: Baltimore, MD 21215
• Shift: 10-hour day shifts
• Hours Per Week: 40
• Duration: 14 weeks
• Start Date: 10/12/2026
• Orientation: 40 hours
• Charting System: Cerner / Surginet
• Call: Required based on unit needs
• Weekend Coverage: Required
• Patient Volume: Approximately 40 cases per day

Job Requirements

• Active Maryland RN license or compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience required
• Level II trauma experience required; Level I trauma experience preferred
• Current BLS certification required
• 16-hour Maryland-approved trauma course required
• 8 annual trauma CEUs required
• ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS preferred
• Strong experience with trauma, ENT, colorectal, plastics, neurosurgery, surgical oncology, oral/dental, laparoscopic, urology, ophthalmology, GYN, general surgery, orthopedics, robotics, vascular, and thoracic procedures
• Experience with emergency OR response, fire safety, malignant hyperthermia precautions, latex allergy precautions, electrosurgical units, fiber-optic equipment, and Steris equipment
• Ability to work in a team-oriented, high-acuity surgical environment

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective perioperative nursing care in a busy Operating Room setting
• Circulate and support a wide variety of surgical cases with a focus on quality patient outcomes
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the perioperative team to ensure seamless case flow
• Maintain sterile technique, surgical readiness, and efficient room turnover
• Support advanced technology and minimally invasive procedures, including robotic surgery
• Provide clear communication and compassionate support to patients and families
• Float within scope as needed to support facility needs
