Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery Travel Nurse Assignment in Pratt, Kansas

Experienced Labor & Delivery RN needed for a 13-week travel nursing assignment in Pratt, Kansas. Join a supportive maternity care team in an LDRP / Family Birth Suites setting and make a meaningful impact caring for mothers, newborns, and growing families.

• Employment Type: Travel Nurse / RN Travel Assignment

• Setting: LDRP / Family Birth Suites
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 10/12/2026
• Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,130 - $2,250
• Orientation: 12 hours
• Weekend Coverage: Required
• Unit Size: 7 rooms, 8 beds
• Daily Census: 3
• Float: May assist with care in other units as needed

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, including postpartum experience
• Active Kansas RN license or compact RN license in hand at time of submission
• Current ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, BLS, and NRP required
• STABLE certification preferred
• Experience in Labor & Delivery, postpartum, mother/baby, and newborn care strongly preferred
• Ability to work night shifts and provide weekend coverage
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative acute care environment

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to laboring patients, postpartum mothers, and newborns
• Monitor maternal and fetal status using evidence-based obstetrical nursing practices
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and newborn stabilization as needed
• Perform patient assessments, IV management, medication administration, and patient education
• Support breastfeeding, newborn bonding, and discharge teaching for families
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold unit standards for quality patient care
• Float within scope to support facility needs when requested
