Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CVOR or cardiac scrub nurse experience required
• Strong cardiac scrub experience is a hard stop requirement
• Experience responding to cardiac emergencies, scrub, and circulator responsibilities preferred
• Current Registered Nurse license required; compact license must be in hand at submission
• BLS required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Experience with Epic charting required
• Ability to work a 1:1 ratio in a high-acuity surgical setting
• Must be comfortable with on-call and weekend coverage expectations
• Must have reliable transportation for the assignment

Responsibilities

• Provide expert bedside support in the cardiovascular operating room
• Scrub and circulate for complex cardiac and thoracic procedures
• Assist with cardiac emergencies and other high-acuity surgical cases
• Manage and maintain sterile field standards with precision and efficiency
• Support safe use of specialized cardiovascular surgical equipment and procedures
• Document accurately in Epic and collaborate closely with the surgical team
• Deliver compassionate, high-quality patient care while maintaining safety at all times
• Adapt to scheduling needs, including on-call and occasional floating based on skill set
