Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Open heart surgery experience required
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a high-acuity cardiovascular ICU setting
• Strong assessment, communication, and prioritization skills
• Comfort working as part of a multidisciplinary cardiac care team

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to CVICU patients
• Monitor and assess cardiac patients with complex and rapidly changing conditions
• Care for post-open-heart and other critically ill cardiovascular patients
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to provider orders and best practices
• Recognize changes in patient status and respond quickly and appropriately
• Document patient care accurately and maintain clear communication with the care team
• Support patient safety, infection prevention, and quality care standards
