• Position: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)
• Location: Abilene, TX 79601
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift Duration: 10-hour day shifts
• Schedule Options: 4x10s or 5x8s may be considered
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,350 - $2,470
• Orientation: 40 hours
• Patient Ratio: 1:1
• Charting System: Allscripts experience preferred

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience
• Active RN license in hand required at time of submission
• Current RN license and certification verification required
• ACLS, BLS, CNOR, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC preferred or required as noted in compliance
• Craniotomy and burr hole experience required
• Experience in neuro/spine, ortho/trauma, or general/robotics/trauma strongly preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Must be able to complete all onboarding items within the designated timeframe

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care in the operating room
• Support surgical cases across neuro/spine, orthopedic trauma, and general robotic procedures
• Assist with complex cases, including craniotomy and burr hole procedures
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiology, and the surgical support team
• Maintain patient safety, sterile technique, and strong attention to detail throughout the surgical experience
• Adapt to call, late days, and scheduling needs as required
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment focused on excellent patient outcomes
