Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of bedside clinical experience
- BLS certification required prior to first shift
- ACLS certification required prior to first shift
- Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare environment
- Prior LTAC, acute care, or rehab nursing experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Complete nursing assessments within required timeframes and develop individualized plans of care
- Provide direct patient care using the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate
- Support patient rehabilitation, recovery, and education throughout the care continuum
- Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from day one of admission
- Communicate changes in patient status promptly to support continuity of care and patient safety
- Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation in the medical record
- Supervise and provide direction to ancillary nursing personnel as appropriate
- Promote a safe, respectful, and efficient care environment for patients, families, and team members
- Participate in team collaboration, quality patient outcomes, and ongoing professional growth
