This Telemetry Registered Nurse travel nursing job in Madison, Wisconsin is ideal for a confident Registered Nurse (RN) with strong cardiac, telemetry, and med-surg experience. In this 13-week contract, you will provide high-quality, compassionate care to adults and geriatrics in an acute care setting while collaborating with an experienced clinical team.

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing or cardiac nursing experience required
• Telemetry and med-surg/tele experience strongly preferred
• ACLS and BLS required
• NIHSS preferred
• Experience with Epic charting required
• Ability to interpret, monitor, and manage dysrhythmias
• Experience caring for patients with complex cardiac and respiratory needs
• Comfort working with a patient ratio of 4 on days and 5 on nights
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to telemetry patients with cardiac and medical-surgical needs
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Care for patients recovering from CABG, valve repair, thoracotomy, and vascular procedures
• Support patients with respiratory failure, tracheostomy management, and post-operative recovery
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments safely and accurately
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in Epic
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care
• Float as needed to med-surg, med-surg/tele, and telemetry units
• Maintain a safe, efficient, and compassionate care environment during night shift operations
