Job Details

• Position: Mother/Baby Registered Nurse (RN) / Postpartum RN / Couplet Care RN
• Location: Aurora, CO 80045
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse Assignment
• Start Date: 10/12/2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts; day and night coverage available, with nights-only option
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,980 - $2,080
• Charting System: Epic
• Orientation: 72 hours
• Weekend Coverage: Required per unit needs
• Call: Required, typically 1-2 shifts per 6-week schedule
• Float: May float within scope; antepartum-trained nurses with fetal monitoring experience may float to L&D

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in the state of Colorado or a compact RN license
• At least 1 year of specialty experience in Mother/Baby, Postpartum, Couplet Care, or Women’s Health Nursing
• Travel nursing experience required
• BLS and NRP certifications required
• Experience with fetal monitoring preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Strong clinical background caring for postpartum patients, newborns, and high-risk mother/baby couplets
• Comfort working rotating shifts, weekends, and call requirements in a hospital nursing environment

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to postpartum patients and healthy newborns who do not require NICU-level care
• Monitor and support high-risk mother/baby couplets in a collaborative acute care setting
• Perform newborn assessments, postpartum assessments, and patient education
• Support breastfeeding education, breast milk collection and storage, and discharge teaching for families
• Care for patients receiving therapies such as magnesium, insulin, and heparin drips as appropriate to the unit
• Assist with fetal monitoring and antepartum-related care when floating within scope
• Manage common postpartum needs including pain control, incision care, fundal checks, and newborn thermoregulation
• Document accurately in Epic and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Deliver compassionate, family-centered care in a supportive and collaborative environment
