PACU Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Job in Columbus, Ohio | PreOp/PACU

• End Date: 2/1/2027
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day shift, 12-hour shifts (8:00 AM - 8:30 PM)
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Call: Included, with weekend call rotation every third to fourth weekend
• Orientation: 40 hours
• Patient Ratio: 1:1
• Charting System: Epic

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in hand at the time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required
• Pre-op and post-op nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• BLS required
• ACLS preferred
• PACU, Level I trauma, or outpatient surgery experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program
• 2 professional references required, including at least 1 manager, director, supervisor, or other formal leader
• Ability to complete credentialing and fingerprinting promptly

Responsibilities

• Provide direct pre-op and PACU nursing care for adult patients recovering from procedures
• Monitor and assess patients following cardiovascular and vascular surgeries and interventions
• Support care for procedures such as CABG, AAA repair, TAVR, EVAR, bypass surgeries, angiograms, pulmonary decortication, and ablations
• Perform thorough pre-op assessments, patient education, and post-op recovery monitoring
• Manage IVs, lines, medications, blood products, and airway-related care as needed
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary support teams to ensure safe, efficient patient flow
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and uphold high standards of patient safety and quality care
