Overview

This 13-week travel nursing assignment is a strong fit for an experienced Registered Nurse who thrives in a Progressive Care Unit, Stepdown, DOU, or IMC setting and is comfortable working 12-hour night shifts. You’ll provide specialized bedside nursing care to patients who require close monitoring, timely interventions, and excellent clinical judgment.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a PCU, stepdown, DOU, or IMC nursing setting
• Current RN license in hand at the time of submission
• ACLS and BLS certification required
• Experience interpreting dysrhythmias and managing telemetry monitoring
• Skilled in IV starts and maintenance, peripheral line care, oxygen administration, and nasal cannula support
• Comfortable following isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• Ability to respond effectively with rapid response and code teams
• Graduation from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program preferred
• Must be prepared for timely credentialing and pre-start compliance requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients requiring progressive and intermediate-level monitoring
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions with attention to changes in cardiac and respiratory status
• Support telemetry monitoring and accurately interpret rhythm changes
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to carry out patient care plans
• Administer treatments and perform nursing interventions within PCU scope of practice
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient patient care environment
• Float to other units within the organization as needed based on patient care needs
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining strong attention to detail and clinical priorities
