Job Details

• Position: Operating Room Registered Nurse (Operating Room RN / OR RN)
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse Assignment

• Location: Boston, Massachusetts
• Start Date: October 19, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts
• Shift Pattern: Day/evening rotation with start times around 7:00 AM, 9:00 AM, and 11:00 AM
• Schedule Expectations: Every 3rd weekend as needed, every other holiday, and on-call once per schedule
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,530 - $2,660

Job Requirements

• 2+ years of inpatient operating room experience required
• Scrub experience required for this surgical nursing role
• Level I trauma experience preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Must be comfortable working in a flexible, team-oriented perioperative environment
• Ability to competently support at least 5 of the listed surgical service lines
• Strong communication skills, adaptability, and a positive attitude are essential
• Experience with neuro, vascular, and broader surgical specialties preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled perioperative nursing care in a busy operating room setting
• Support a wide range of surgical specialties, including general, gynecology, urology, oral, otolaryngology, bariatrics, orthopedics, neurology, vascular, thoracic, cardiac, plastics, podiatry, robotics, pediatrics, trauma, and spine
• Scrub and assist with surgical procedures as needed
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and the perioperative care team
• Maintain patient safety, efficiency, and high standards of care throughout the surgical experience
• Adapt to rotational needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and floating to another OR location if required
• Contribute to a collaborative environment with professionalism, flexibility, and excellent teamwork
