Overview

The CVOR RN will circulate for a variety of advanced surgical procedures in a high-acuity perioperative setting. This role is ideal for an experienced travel nurse who is confident in the OR, comfortable with call requirements, and ready to contribute to a patient-centered surgical team in eastern North Carolina.

• Shift: 10-hour day shifts
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Call: Call required, including weekend call
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,870 - $3,020
• Interview: Interview required
• Additional Notes: 80-mile local radius rule applies

Job Requirements

• Active RN license; compact license accepted
• Minimum of 2 years of CVOR or relevant operating room RN experience
• Current BLS certification through AHA
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Experience with EPIC preferred
• Ability to work 10-hour day shifts and participate in call coverage
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical workflow, and patient safety practices

Responsibilities

• Circulate for cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgical procedures
• Support cases including CABG, valve repair and replacement, TAVR, LVAD placement, vascular repairs, and thoracic procedures
• Maintain a safe, efficient, and patient-centered operating room environment
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiology, and OR teammates throughout the perioperative process
• Assist with sterile setup, surgical workflow, and intraoperative patient care
• Participate in counts of sponges and supplies to help ensure patient safety
• Respond to call shifts as scheduled, including weekend coverage
