Travel Nursing Job Details

• Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Schedule: Weekend coverage as needed, typically every other weekend
• Call: As needed
• Float: As needed
• Charting System: Meditech
• Dress Code: Professional attire; any scrub color is acceptable

ICU Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid for practice in Tennessee
• At least 3 years of ICU and CCU nursing experience
• At least 2 completed travel nursing assignments
• Current ACLS, BLS, HWC, and NIH certifications before the start date
• Recent Meditech experience
• Ability to provide critical care to patients across the lifespan
• Professional, collaborative, and team-oriented approach
• Successful completion of required Tennessee Abuse Registry screening before the assignment begins
• Ability to meet travel nursing eligibility requirements

ICU Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients in an ICU/CCU setting
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and recognize changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments while closely monitoring patient responses
• Manage complex critical care needs and support evidence-based interventions
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in Meditech
• Respond effectively to emergencies and participate in critical care interventions
• Follow unit policies, professional nursing standards, and infection prevention practices
• Float to other appropriate areas as needed and support the team during changing patient-care demands
