Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020–$2,130
• Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)
• Location: On-site in Pahala, Hawaii
• Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing assignment
• Start Date: October 19, 2026
• End Date: January 18, 2027
• Schedule: Six 12-hour day shifts, totaling 72 hours over a two-week period
• Weekend Schedule: Every third weekend off
• Openings: 2
• Scheduling Note: Hours are not guaranteed.
• Pre-Assignment Requirement: Arrive on the Thursday before the start date for an employee health appointment scheduled on Friday.

Emergency Department Registered Nurse Requirements

• Active Hawaii Registered Nurse (RN) license required by the start of the assignment; candidates without an active Hawaii RN license must apply upon acceptance of an offer.
• At least 2 years of recent emergency department nursing experience.
• Ability to provide emergency nursing care in a small critical access hospital without separate clinical units.
• Comfort caring for patients across emergency, acute care, and long-term care settings.
• Ability to administer medications and perform appropriate clinical procedures for acute and long-term care patients when assigned.
• Strong patient assessment, prioritization, communication, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.

Emergency Room RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and timely nursing care to patients presenting to the emergency department.
• Assess patient conditions, identify changes in clinical status, and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Deliver emergency and patient-centered care in accordance with established nursing standards, clinical protocols, and individual patient needs.
• Provide backup clinical support in acute care and long-term care areas when the emergency department has no patients.
• Administer medications and perform clinical procedures for acute and long-term care patients when assigned to those areas.
• Collaborate with providers and multidisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate effective patient care.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and timely clinical documentation.
