Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Charlotte, North Carolina
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse contract
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,810–$1,910
• Start Date: October 12, 2026
• Contract End Date: March 1, 2027
• Duration: Approximately 20 weeks
• Schedule: 36 hours per week; 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m.
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Call Requirement: None
• Healthcare Setting: Adult Emergency Department with approximately 53 rooms and up to 170 visits per day
• Patient Population: Adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
• Common Diagnoses: STEMI, stroke, and Level II trauma
• Charting and Clinical Systems: Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR
• Orientation: Approximately 24–48 hours
• Scrubs: Navy blue

Emergency Department RN Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state; pending licensure may be considered for submission
• At least 2 years of recent Emergency Department or ER nursing experience
• Experience with IV starts, emergency triage, telemetry, conscious sedation, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, blood product administration, and care of ventilated patients
• Level II trauma or comparable trauma nursing experience strongly preferred
• Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC, MOAB, and PALS certifications
• Current Epic electronic health record charting experience
• Successful completion of specialty EKG testing before the start of the assignment
• Willingness to work night shifts, every other weekend, and applicable holiday coverage
• Ability to complete required pre-start testing within 48 hours of signing and assigned learning modules before the start date
• Ability to remain flexible and float within or near the assigned clinical area when needed

Emergency Nursing Responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence-based emergency nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Rapidly assess, triage, prioritize, and reassess patients with a broad range of emergency conditions
• Care for patients experiencing STEMI, stroke, Level II trauma, critical illness, and other high-acuity emergencies
• Initiate and maintain peripheral IV access, administer medications and blood products, and monitor treatment response
• Perform telemetry monitoring and recognize, interpret, and respond to dysrhythmias
• Assist with conscious sedation and provide care for ventilated patients according to established protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Epic and communicate effectively using SBAR
• Support safe patient flow and provide organized handoff communication during transitions of care
• Adapt to changing patient acuity and staffing needs while maintaining a calm, compassionate presence
