Travel Nurse Job Details

- Schedule: 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.
- Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours biweekly, excluding any on-call time worked
- Work Setting: On-site hospital assignment
Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Massachusetts
- At least 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical Telemetry nursing experience
- Previous travel nursing experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- Recent experience using Epic electronic medical records (EMR)
- Ability to provide flexible clinical support across assigned units within the Float Pool
Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities
- Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, symptoms, and changes in patient condition
- Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders and hospital protocols
- Complete comprehensive assessments, care plans, clinical documentation, and patient reassessments in Epic
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing colleagues, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge planning
- Respond promptly to changes in patient status and initiate appropriate clinical interventions
- Adapt to the needs of multiple hospital units while maintaining excellent standards of patient care
