Join a specialized outpatient nursing team in Portland, Oregon, as a Travel Registered Nurse and Patient Care Coordinator supporting adult foregut surgery patients. Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,900–$2,000

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Oregon
• At least 2 years of professional nursing experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Outpatient clinic, GI, digestive health, general surgery, or foregut surgery experience strongly preferred
• Epic electronic medical record experience required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association; traditional AHA certification accepted
• Strong communication, organization, clinical judgment, care coordination, and patient education skills

Outpatient Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Coordinate care for adult patients receiving specialized foregut surgery and digestive health services in an ambulatory clinic
• Complete patient assessments, telephone triage, and clinical follow-up using established nursing protocols
• Provide medication management, medication reconciliation, refill support, and pharmacy coordination
• Review medical records, laboratory results, and diagnostic findings, escalating patient concerns to providers as appropriate
• Support patient scheduling and coordinate appointments, procedures, surgery, and follow-up care
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans, preparation instructions, medications, and ongoing care needs
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, physicians, advanced practice providers, medical assistants, and scheduling staff
• Assist with quality reviews and contribute to efficient, patient-centered outpatient clinic processes
