• Electronic Medical Record: Meditech experience preferred

Emergency Department RN Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of recent Emergency Department Registered Nurse experience
• Level III trauma experience required; Level I or Level II trauma experience is also welcomed
• Experience caring for combined adult and pediatric emergency patients
• Active Colorado or Compact Registered Nurse license at the time of submission
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Two supervisor references completed within the past 18 months
• Seasonal flu vaccination required
• First-time travel nurses are encouraged to apply

Travel Emergency Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide safe, timely, and compassionate emergency nursing care to neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
• Perform triage, focused assessments, reassessments, and ongoing patient monitoring
• Recognize and respond to urgent and life-threatening conditions, including acute psychosis, suicidal patients, asthma, and orthopedic trauma
• Administer emergency medications, blood products, IV vasopressors, and procedural sedation according to established protocols
• Obtain 12-lead EKGs, interpret dysrhythmias, initiate IV access, and perform phlebotomy
• Apply and manage splints and support care for trauma and orthopedic presentations
• Support patients experiencing mental and behavioral health conditions, including psychiatric holds
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary support services to coordinate patient care and facilitate safe dispositions
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and communicate effectively during patient handoffs
