Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) – High-Risk Obstetrics | White Plains, NY

Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,160–$2,270

• Start Date: October 12, 2026
• End Date: December 21, 2026
• Contract Length: Approximately 10 weeks
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts
• Hours: Approximately 34.5 guaranteed hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Weekend coverage required; night-shift weekend coverage includes Friday and Saturday rotations
• Orientation: Approximately 2–3 unit-specific shifts
• Charting: Electronic medical record systems, including Epic, Meditech, and GE

Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in New York
• BSN required
• At least 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery or high-risk obstetric nursing experience
• Experience caring for high-risk obstetric patients in a fast-paced environment
• Current ACLS, BLS from the American Heart Association, and NRP certification
• Flu vaccination required
• Strong assessment, clinical judgment, communication, and customer service skills
• Ability to manage complex assignments and work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary care team

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to high-risk obstetric patients, antepartum patients, and patients receiving magnesium therapy
• Complete full patient assessments, ongoing monitoring, and individualized nursing interventions
• Care for patients undergoing C-section deliveries performed on the unit
• Perform nursing examinations and recognize changes in maternal or fetal condition
• Coordinate care with obstetric providers, hospitalists, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, scrub technicians, and other members of the care team
• Support safe patient flow and provide attentive, service-focused care to patients and families
• Float to assist with tasks in OB or the nursery when needed; floating does not include taking a patient assignment
• Adapt effectively to a high-volume, high-acuity environment while maintaining accurate documentation and professional standards
