Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,680–$1,770
• Location: Gadsden, Alabama
• Healthcare Setting: Emergency Department
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.
• Schedule: 36 hours per week
• Start Date: October 19, 2026

Emergency Room Registered Nurse Requirements

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in Alabama
• At least 1 year of recent Emergency Department or Emergency Room nursing experience; 1–2 years preferred
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Cerner experience preferred
• Strong critical-thinking, clinical judgment, communication, and leadership skills
• Ability to meet applicable travel nursing assignment eligibility requirements

Emergency Department RN Responsibilities

• Assess, triage, and provide skilled nursing care to patients presenting to the Emergency Department
• Use the nursing process in accordance with the Alabama Nurse Practice Act and applicable clinical policies
• Anticipate patient needs and plan safe, effective care in a fast-paced emergency care environment
• Demonstrate sound clinical judgment, critical thinking, and timely decision-making
• Coordinate patient care and communicate effectively with providers and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Prioritize and delegate patient care based on staff education, experience, and competency
• Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care
• Maintain clinical competency through continuing education and ongoing professional development
