Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,370–$2,500
• Start Date: October 12, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks, ending January 11, 2027
• Schedule: 10-hour day shifts, approximately 6:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• On-Call: Rotating on-call shifts are assigned among staff
• Healthcare Setting: Six-OR cardiovascular operating room service
• Electronic Documentation: Cerner
• Equipment: Stryker
• Uniform: Hospital-provided scrubs and surgical attire policy

CVOR Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• At least 1 year of recent, extensive cardiovascular operating room nursing experience
• Strong experience working in the RN circulator role for cardiovascular and thoracic procedures
• Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers cannot be considered
• Ability to participate in a rotating on-call schedule
• Scrub and first-assist experience preferred but not required
• Ability to float occasionally if operationally needed

CVOR RN Responsibilities

• Serve as the RN circulator for complex cardiovascular and thoracic surgical cases
• Coordinate perioperative care with surgeons, anesthesia professionals, surgical technologists, nurses, and support staff
• Support procedures including CABG, valve replacement, VAD insertion, TAVR, VATS, lobectomy, pacemaker and AICD insertion, septal myectomy, Ross procedures, EVH, IABP insertion, femoral cannulation, and circulatory arrest
• Maintain a safe, sterile, and efficient cardiovascular operating room environment
• Complete accurate documentation and perioperative assessments in Cerner
• Assist with case preparation, equipment coordination, surgical counts, specimen handling, and postoperative room turnover
• Provide or support scrub and first-assist functions when qualified and needed
• Participate in scheduled on-call coverage and contribute to a collaborative CVOR team culture
