Travel Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in North Carolina
• At least 1 year of recent registered nursing experience, preferably in a MICU, ICU, or critical care setting
• Strong patient assessment, prioritization, and clinical decision-making skills
• Ability to provide safe, compassionate care to critically ill patients during overnight shifts
• Current life-support and facility-required credentials, as applicable
• Ability to complete required onboarding, health screening, and compliance documentation

MICU Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill adult patients in the medical intensive care unit
• Monitor patient conditions, recognize clinical changes, and respond promptly to urgent needs
• Administer medications and treatments safely according to established orders and protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary critical care team
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses
• Educate patients and families while supporting shared care-planning decisions
• Promote infection prevention, patient safety, and evidence-based critical care practices
