ICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nursing Contract in Albany, NY

Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Albany, NY 12208
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250–$2,370
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: October 4, 2026
• End Date: January 3, 2027
• Work Setting: On-site, acute care hospital and Level I trauma environment

ICU Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in New York
• At least 2 years of recent ICU staff nursing experience
• Experience caring for trauma, surgical, and neurological ICU patients
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Previous Level I trauma experience required
• Epic electronic medical record (EMR) experience required
• Ability to successfully complete a competency assessment within 24 hours of submission
• Ability to wear navy blue scrubs in accordance with the unit dress code

ICU Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive critical care nursing to critically ill patients in a high-acuity ICU
• Monitor patient status, recognize changes in condition, and initiate timely nursing interventions
• Care for patients with complex trauma, surgical, and neurological diagnoses
• Administer medications and treatments safely while following established clinical protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and responses in Epic
• Support a safe, respectful, and patient-centered environment during night-shift operations
