Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,570–$1,650
• Location: Springdale, Arkansas
• Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing assignment
• Start Date: October 19, 2026
• End Date: January 18, 2027
• Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts
• Shift Schedule: 6:30 a.m.–7:00 p.m.; every other weekend required
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Healthcare Setting: On-site behavioral health unit

Psychiatric RN Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent behavioral health nursing or psychiatric nursing experience
• Active Arkansas Registered Nurse (RN) license or a valid multistate license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• SAMA certification; certification may be completed at the facility if needed
• Prior Cerner electronic medical record experience
• Strong communication, patient assessment, crisis-management, and therapeutic communication skills

Behavioral Health RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to patients receiving behavioral health services
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor changes in mental and physical status
• Administer medications and evaluate patient responses according to established protocols
• Collaborate with providers, counselors, and the interdisciplinary care team to support individualized treatment plans
• Use therapeutic communication and de-escalation techniques to promote a safe environment
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately in Cerner
• Respond appropriately to behavioral emergencies and follow established safety procedures
• Participate in patient education, discharge planning, and continuity-of-care activities
