Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Hot Springs, Arkansas
• Department: Emergency Department
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,710–$1,800
• Start Date: October 5, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks, through January 4, 2027
• Schedule: 36 guaranteed hours per week, typically three shifts
• Shift: 12-hour nights; posted schedule is approximately 1:00 p.m.–1:00 a.m.
• Weekend Coverage: Weekend coverage is requested, with a preference for full weekend coverage or at least three weekends per month
• Patient Population: Adult, geriatric, and pediatric emergency patients
• Department Profile: 25-bed Emergency Department with approximately a 1:5 patient ratio
• Documentation and Equipment: Meditech EHR, telemedicine cart, Baxter IV pumps, and Omnicell medication systems

Emergency Department RN Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state
• At least 2 years of recent Emergency Department, emergency nursing, or comparable acute care nursing experience
• Strong experience caring for trauma, cardiac, respiratory, and orthopedic patients
• Current ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications
• NRP certification is preferred
• Ability to perform effectively in a high-acuity, fast-paced emergency care environment
• Willingness to float to ICU, CCU, or medical-surgical units as needed
• Strong patient assessment, prioritization, communication, and teamwork skills

Emergency Nursing Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care from triage through patient disposition
• Rapidly assess, prioritize, and stabilize patients with urgent and life-threatening conditions
• Care for patients experiencing cardiac, respiratory, orthopedic, and traumatic conditions
• Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, neurological status, and response to treatment
• Administer medications, initiate interventions, and assist with emergency procedures according to established protocols
• Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate safe, timely patient care
• Educate patients and families while maintaining compassionate, family-centered care
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the Meditech EHR
• Float to designated critical care or medical-surgical areas when department needs require
• Maintain a professional appearance in approved navy or black scrubs
