Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Home Health | Fort Smith, Arkansas

Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,120–$2,230
• Location: Fort Smith, Arkansas, with coverage throughout Fort Smith, Van Buren, Alma, and portions of Logan and Franklin counties
• Start Date: October 5, 2026
• End Date: December 31, 2026
• Duration: Approximately 12 weeks
• Schedule: 8-hour day shifts, approximately 40 hours per week
• Shift: 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.; 32-hour weekly guarantee
• On-Call Requirement: One weeknight every other week and one weekend every four weeks
• Patient Care Setting: Skilled home health
• Travel: Mileage between patient visits is reimbursed

Home Health RN Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Arkansas
• Home health nursing experience required
• Previous experience completing OASIS assessments
• Proficiency with HCHB documentation and workflow
• Associate degree in nursing or equivalent education
• Strong patient assessment, clinical documentation, organization, and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with patients, families, providers, and the broader healthcare team
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel throughout the assigned service area

Travel Home Health RN Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive skilled home health assessments and develop individualized plans of care
• Complete accurate and timely OASIS assessments and required clinical documentation
• Monitor patient progress, identify changes in condition, and communicate concerns promptly to the appropriate care team members
• Provide skilled nursing interventions and patient education tailored to each patient’s needs
• Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, caregivers, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Manage a daily schedule of home visits across the assigned coverage areas
• Participate in the scheduled weeknight and weekend on-call rotation
• Maintain professional standards, patient privacy, and accurate records in accordance with applicable regulations
