PACU Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nursing Contract in Great Falls, Montana

Travel Nursing Job Details

Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250–$2,370

Hours: 40 hours per week

PACU Registered Nurse Job Requirements

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible to practice in Montana
At least 1 year of recent experience in PACU, perioperative, pre-operative, or procedural nursing
Demonstrated proficiency recovering both adult and pediatric patients
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
Ability to provide call and holiday coverage and adapt to changing patient-care needs

PACU Travel Nurse Responsibilities

Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care for surgical and procedural patients
Safely recover adult and pediatric patients following anesthesia and sedation
Monitor airway, vital signs, pain, level of consciousness, and post-procedure recovery status
Care for patients undergoing orthopedic, podiatric, ENT, urology, gynecology, general, plastic, endoscopy, and ophthalmology procedures
Provide pre- and post-procedure care for cardiac catheterization patients
Recognize changes in patient condition and respond promptly according to established protocols
Collaborate with anesthesia, procedural, surgical, and nursing teams to support safe patient transitions
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and deliver thorough handoff communication
