ICU Registered Nurse (RN) Travel Contract – Night Shift in Clyde, North Carolina

Join an experienced critical care team as an ICU Registered Nurse (RN) in Clyde, North Carolina. This 13-week travel nursing contract offers consistent 12-hour night shifts, 36 guaranteed weekly hours, and the opportunity to care for adult patients in a focused 12-bed intensive care unit. Clyde is a scenic mountain community near Asheville and the Great Smoky Mountains, offering easy access to outdoor recreation, charming towns, and popular destinations throughout western North Carolina and eastern Tennessee.

ICU Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800–$1,890

• Unit: 12-bed adult ICU with approximately 2:1 patient ratios
• Additional Scheduling Note: Biweekly orientation; occasional floating to the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) may be required

ICU Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent ICU or critical care nursing experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in North Carolina
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
• Associate degree in nursing or equivalent nursing education
• Strong patient assessment, critical-thinking, and clinical communication skills
• Ability to provide safe, compassionate care during overnight nursing shifts

ICU Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult ICU patients with complex and acute conditions
• Monitor patient status, recognize changes in condition, and escalate concerns promptly
• Manage care for patients experiencing sepsis, COPD exacerbations, hypotensive episodes, and hypertensive emergencies
• Administer medications and treatments while maintaining accurate clinical documentation
• Collaborate with providers and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Provide patient and family education and support throughout the hospital stay
• Maintain a safe, organized clinical environment and follow applicable nursing standards of care
• Float to the PCU occasionally based on unit needs and demonstrated competency
