Registered Nurse Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,200–$2,320
• Healthcare Setting: Outpatient cardiology and electrophysiology clinic

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Nursing Schedule: 5 shifts per week, Monday through Friday
• Shift Duration: 8-hour day shifts
• Shift Hours: 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• Weekend Requirement: None
• Call Requirement: None

• Orientation: 40 hours

Electrophysiology RN Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in Washington or a valid compact RN license
• At least 2 years of recent Registered Nurse experience in electrophysiology is required
• Experience in an electrophysiology lab, cardiac catheterization setting, cardiac telemetry, cardiac intensive care, or cardiac step-down unit preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Recent experience with Epic charting is required
• Strong knowledge of cardiac rhythm interpretation, dysrhythmia management, and 12-lead EKG acquisition
• Ability to provide clear patient education and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary cardiology teams

Outpatient Cardiology RN Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient nursing care for patients receiving cardiology and electrophysiology services
• Support procedures including cardiac ablation, arrhythmia induction, cardiac mapping, cardioversion, conduction studies, pacemaker insertion, Watchman procedures, and left atrial appendage closure
• Assist with pacemaker and defibrillator lead extraction or removal and insertion or programming of AICDs
• Assess symptoms, triage patient concerns, and coordinate questions with the appropriate cardiology, interventional, electrophysiology, or heart failure team
• Obtain and interpret 12-lead EKGs and assist with the management of cardiac dysrhythmias
• Administer and monitor medications such as antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, and thrombolytics according to orders and clinical protocols
• Educate patients on procedures, medications, lifestyle modifications, and treatment adherence
• Collaborate with providers and support staff, including interpretation services, phlebotomy, and unit coordination resources
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and promote a safe, patient-centered care experience
