Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Athens, Georgia
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,750–$1,840
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: October 4, 2026
• End Date: January 2, 2027
• Schedule: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 6:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m.
• Healthcare Setting: Emergency Department (ED) / Emergency Room

Emergency Room RN Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Georgia
• At least 1 year of professional nursing experience, preferably in an emergency department
• Emergency Department RN experience and the ability to care for patients across a broad range of acuity levels
• Strong patient assessment, triage, prioritization, communication, and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-volume emergency care environment
• Availability to work scheduled 12-hour night shifts for the duration of the travel nursing assignment

Emergency Department RN Responsibilities

• Assess, triage, and prioritize emergency department patients according to acuity and presenting condition
• Provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care to patients with urgent and emergent needs
• Monitor patient conditions, identify changes in status, and escalate concerns promptly
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with provider orders and nursing standards
• Initiate and assist with emergency interventions and procedures as needed
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, technicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, follow-up care, and discharge instructions
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and care transitions in the medical record
