Travel NICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Level III NICU Contract in Penn Wynne, PA

Travel NICU RN Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,050–$2,160
• Assignment: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Start Date: October 20, 2026
• Shift: Night shifts, 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.
• Shifts per Week: 3
• Shift Duration: 12 hours
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:3
• Unit: Level III NICU with approximately 30 beds and an average daily census of 18
• Charting: Epic
• Call: Not required
• Floating: May be required to a nearby campus

Travel Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Pennsylvania
• At least 2 years of recent NICU nursing experience
• Level III NICU experience strongly preferred
• Current BLS certification
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Recent experience with Epic electronic medical records
• Demonstrated ability to care for neonates across a range of acuity levels, including premature infants
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and family education skills

NICU Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill neonates in a Level III NICU
• Manage patients with respiratory distress, neonatal sepsis, hyperbilirubinemia, neonatal abstinence syndrome, and other complex neonatal conditions
• Administer medications, blood products, enteral feedings, and specialized neonatal therapies safely
• Monitor and manage ventilators, CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, oxygen delivery systems, and other respiratory support
• Perform ongoing assessments, telemetry monitoring, blood glucose monitoring, thermoregulation, and developmental care
• Care for and monitor central lines, umbilical artery catheters, and umbilical venous catheters according to clinical standards
• Assist with high-risk deliveries and provide immediate neonatal assessment and stabilization
• Support feeding plans, breastfeeding education, breast milk handling, and family-centered care
• Collaborate with respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, social services, physical therapy, and other members of the care team
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient progress in Epic
