Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg Tele Night Shift Contract in Albany, NY

Travel RN Job Details

• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,250–$2,370
• Location: Albany, New York
• Healthcare Setting: On-site Med/Surg Tele unit
• Start Date: November 8, 2026
• Assignment End Date: February 7, 2027
• Contract Duration: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Schedule: 36 hours per week guaranteed; 48-hour schedules may be available
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts, approximately 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.
• Electronic Medical Record: Epic
• Scrubs: Navy blue scrubs required
• Submission Requirement: A competency assessment must be completed within 24 hours of submission

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license and credentials required to practice in New York
• At least 1 year of recent Registered Nurse experience; previous travel nursing experience is required
• Previous Epic electronic medical record experience is required
• Recent Med/Surg Tele nursing experience
• Level I trauma center experience strongly preferred
• Experience floating to a variety of intensive care units is highly desirable
• Ability to complete the required competency assessment within 24 hours of submission
• Comfort and clinical competency caring for ICU-level patients across multiple clinical environments

Travel RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients on a Med/Surg Tele unit during overnight shifts
• Monitor cardiac and clinical status, recognize changes in patient condition, and initiate appropriate interventions
• Administer medications, perform nursing assessments, coordinate treatments, and document patient care accurately in Epic
• Float as needed to neuro/trauma SICU, MICU, CPS/VICU, CCU, and progressive critical care units
• Care for ICU and progressive-care patients in the emergency department and PACU while awaiting bed placement
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and other members of the multidisciplinary care team
• Promote patient safety, effective communication, and continuity of care in a high-acuity healthcare environment
