Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure eligible for practice in Alabama
• At least 2 years of recent stepdown, cardiac, progressive care, or closely related acute-care nursing experience
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Required certifications must be active and in hand at the time of submission
• Ability to work scheduled 12-hour night shifts in an on-site clinical environment
• Travel nursing eligibility requirement: permanent residence must be more than 50 miles from the assignment location

Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care to patients in a cardiac stepdown and progressive care setting
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, clinical status, and response to treatment
• Recognize changes in patient condition and promptly escalate concerns to the appropriate provider
• Administer medications and therapies in accordance with orders, policies, and evidence-based nursing practice
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate individualized treatment plans
• Complete accurate patient assessments, documentation, care planning, and health education
• Support safe transitions of care and promote positive clinical outcomes
