Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Massachusetts
- At least 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical Telemetry nursing experience
- Previous travel nursing or contract nursing experience
- Previous experience with Epic electronic medical records
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Ability to adapt quickly and provide safe, high-quality patient care across assigned hospital units
Travel RN Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, clinical status, and changes in patient condition
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Perform patient assessments, develop and implement individualized plans of care, and evaluate outcomes
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Float across designated hospital units as needed while maintaining consistent standards of patient care
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in Epic
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge planning
- Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition and participate in emergency interventions when needed
