Travel ICU RN Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin or a compact RN license in hand
• At least 1 year of recent Intensive Care Unit (ICU) nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Availability to work 12-hour overnight shifts and every third weekend
• Flexibility to float to cardiovascular ICU, intermediate care, and other critical care units as needed

Medical ICU Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill adult patients in a high-acuity medical ICU
• Assess patient conditions, recognize changes in status, and respond promptly to clinical needs
• Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with established protocols
• Monitor hemodynamic status, respiratory function, neurological status, and other critical indicators
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and communicate effectively during patient handoffs
• Support patient and family education while delivering compassionate, evidence-based critical care
• Adapt to assignments in the cardiovascular ICU, intermediate care, or other ICU settings as needed
