Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,220–$2,340
• Start Date: October 19, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 5 shifts per week, Monday through Friday
• Shift: 8-hour day shifts, 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
• Call Requirements: Approximately one weeknight per week and one weekend per month; the team supports year-round coverage
• Floating: May circulate in the Surgery Center as needed based on census and staffing
• Patient Population: Infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
• Additional Details: Late shifts are mandatory; hospital-laundered scrubs are provided

Operating Room RN Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent full-time experience circulating in an operating room
• Current Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Texas
• Current AHA-issued ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
• CNOR certification preferred
• Experience with general, gynecologic, orthopedic, vascular, urologic, ophthalmic, pediatric, and laparoscopic procedures preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing, surgical safety, sterile technique, specimen handling, infection prevention, and emergency response
• Ability to participate in required call coverage and support occasional floating to the Surgery Center
• Reliable communication, teamwork, and the ability to remain composed in a fast-paced surgical environment

Operating Room Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Serve as the circulating RN for a broad range of surgical procedures, excluding heart, brain, and spine cases
• Coordinate safe, efficient operating room preparation and maintain continuity of care throughout the perioperative process
• Verify patient identity, procedure, consent, site marking, positioning, and surgical safety requirements
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia professionals, surgical technologists, and other members of the perioperative care team
• Monitor patient status, manage intraoperative documentation, and communicate changes promptly
• Handle specimens accurately and ensure proper labeling, documentation, and delivery
• Support procedures involving laparoscopic and robotic systems, vascular cases, orthopedic surgery, gynecologic surgery, urology, ophthalmology, pediatrics, and general surgery
• Respond appropriately to emergencies, including malignant hyperthermia, fire or safety events, hemorrhage, and other urgent clinical situations
• Participate in call coverage, holiday coverage, and cross-coverage of the Surgery Center when needed
• Promote a culture of patient safety, professionalism, and respectful collaboration
