ICU Travel Nurse Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800–$1,890
• Location: Clyde, North Carolina, near Asheville
• Healthcare Setting: Adult Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• Contract Length: Approximately 14 weeks
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Rotating weekends
• Call: None
• Orientation: Biweekly orientation schedule
• Patient Ratio: Approximately 2:1

ICU Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in North Carolina
• At least 1 year of recent ICU or adult critical care nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
• Associate degree in nursing (ADN) or equivalent required
• Experience caring for adult critical care patients
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and rotating weekends
• Willingness to occasionally float to the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) when needed
• Professional navy scrubs and adherence to facility dress standards

ICU Travel RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a 12-bed intensive care unit
• Monitor, assess, and respond promptly to changes in patients’ conditions
• Care for patients experiencing sepsis, COPD exacerbations, hypotensive urgency, hypertensive urgency, and other complex critical care conditions
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and evaluate patient care plans
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the Paragon electronic health record
• Support safe patient transitions and continuity of care
• Float to the PCU occasionally based on unit needs while maintaining high standards of patient care
