• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910–$2,010

• Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
• Schedule: 36 guaranteed hours per week, generally three shifts per week
• Weekend Requirement: Approximately four weekend shifts per schedule
• Call: No call requirement
• Patient Ratio: Approximately 4:1
• Charting: Meditech
• Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs

Emergency Department RN Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Texas
• At least 1 year of recent Emergency Department or emergency room nursing experience
• Current BLS certification
• Current ALS certification
• Current TNCC certification
• Current ENPC or PALS certification
• Strong patient assessment, prioritization, critical-thinking, and emergency response skills
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and meet the weekend scheduling requirement
• Team-oriented, flexible, positive, and professional approach to patient care

Emergency Nursing Responsibilities

• Assess, triage, stabilize, and provide ongoing nursing care for patients with a wide range of emergent and urgent conditions
• Monitor patient status, recognize changes in condition, and initiate timely nursing interventions
• Participate in emergency procedures, including cardioversion, thrombolytic therapy, and moderate sedation
• Provide care for trauma, stroke, cardiac, medical, and other high-acuity emergency presentations
• Administer medications and treatments safely while maintaining accurate documentation in Meditech
• Collaborate closely with providers, clinical coordinators, paramedics, patient care technicians, and other members of the healthcare team
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care
• Promote a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for patients and colleagues
