Postpartum Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nursing Contract in Boston, MA

Join our postpartum travel nursing team in Boston, Massachusetts, and provide compassionate maternal-newborn care in a collaborative hospital setting. This on-site travel RN assignment offers the opportunity to support patients and families during the postpartum period while enjoying Boston's culture, dining, waterfront, and historic neighborhoods.

Travel RN Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910–$2,010
• Location: Boston, Massachusetts
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital-based postpartum unit
• Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week; rotating days and nights
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Start Date: November 2, 2026 preferred; November 16, 2026 also available
• Contract Duration: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Position Type: Travel Registered Nurse

Postpartum RN Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• At least 1 year of recent postpartum nursing experience
• Postpartum RN specialty experience and demonstrated knowledge of maternal care
• Experience providing maternal-newborn or postpartum patient care in a hospital setting
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts on a rotating day/night schedule
• Availability to work every other weekend
• Successful completion of required license and certificate verification
• Strong communication, clinical judgment, organization, and patient advocacy skills

Postpartum Nursing Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to postpartum patients throughout their recovery
• Monitor patient status, recognize changes in condition, and communicate concerns promptly
• Perform assessments, administer medications and treatments, and document care accurately
• Support patient education related to postpartum recovery, newborn care, breastfeeding support, and discharge readiness
• Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate individualized maternal care plans
• Promote a safe, compassionate, and supportive experience for patients and families
• Follow hospital policies, clinical standards, and infection-prevention practices
