• Schedule: 36 or 48 hours per week; three or four 12-hour shifts
• Shift: 12-hour shifts; day/night rotation or straight nights

Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing and ability to practice in Massachusetts
• At least 1 year of recent medical-surgical nursing or comparable acute care nursing experience
• Strong patient assessment, prioritization, and clinical decision-making skills
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including nights and rotating schedules as assigned
• Current professional references, resume, and completion of required skills verification
• Commitment to providing safe, compassionate, and patient-centered nursing care

Medical-Surgical RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical patients in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Perform patient assessments, develop and implement individualized plans of care, and evaluate patient outcomes
• Administer medications and treatments safely while monitoring patients for changes in condition
• Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate timely patient care
• Recognize and respond to changes in patient status, escalating concerns appropriately
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge planning
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with professional and regulatory standards
• Support a positive, organized, and safety-focused environment for patients and colleagues
