Travel RN Job Details

• Hours: 36 hours per week; 72 guaranteed hours biweekly, excluding on-call time

• Assignment Length: Approximately 8 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,470–$2,600
• Schedule Notes: Night-shift availability is required. Holiday time-off requests are not available for this assignment.
• Additional Coverage: Flexibility to support an affiliated nearby facility may be needed based on operational requirements.

Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Massachusetts
• At least 2 years of recent medical-surgical telemetry nursing experience
• Recent experience caring for telemetry patients in an acute-care hospital setting
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Proficiency with the EPIC electronic medical record system
• Ability to successfully complete required onboarding and clinical competency assessments
• Strong patient assessment, prioritization, communication, and teamwork skills

Medical-Surgical Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical telemetry patients during 12-hour night shifts
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, laboratory results, and changes in patient condition
• Complete focused and head-to-toe assessments, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes
• Administer medications and treatments safely while following established clinical protocols
• Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient status, escalating concerns to the appropriate provider
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing colleagues, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
• Provide patient and family education to support recovery, safety, and discharge planning
• Maintain accurate, timely nursing documentation in EPIC
• Adapt to changing unit needs and provide coverage at an affiliated nearby facility when requested
