Join an acute care endoscopy team in Geneva, NY, as a Travel Registered Nurse (RN) providing compassionate, high-quality care to adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients. This on-site travel nursing contract offers the opportunity to support patients throughout their endoscopy experience while collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team in a welcoming Finger Lakes community known for its scenic lakeside setting, historic character, charming downtown, wineries, and outdoor recreation.
Travel Nursing Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,500–$2,630
- Location: Geneva, New York, in the Finger Lakes region
- Contract Dates: October 19, 2026 through February 27, 2027
- Contract Length: Approximately 19 weeks
- Healthcare Setting: Acute care endoscopy
- Schedule: Four scheduled weekday shifts, generally Monday through Friday between 6:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
- Shifts per Week: 4
- Shift Duration: Listed as 10-hour days; assignment details describe a 4x9 schedule with start times of approximately 6:30, 7:00, or 7:30 a.m., depending on role
- Call Requirement: Full call rotation with approximately 6–8 call days per month, including one Friday, one Saturday, one Sunday, and a weekday rotation; one-hour response time required
- Weekend and Holiday Schedule: No regularly scheduled weekends or holidays except when assigned to call
- Work Arrangement: On-site; flexibility to float between affiliated area locations may be required
Endoscopy Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
- At least 1 year of experience working as an RN in an endoscopy environment
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications
- Ability to provide nursing care across adult, adolescent, and geriatric patient populations
- Ability to participate in the full call rotation and respond within 1 hour when called in
- Strong patient assessment, communication, organization, and teamwork skills
- Commitment to patient safety, infection prevention, compassionate care, and family education
Acute Care Endoscopy RN Responsibilities
- Assess patients and families, identify care needs, and develop individualized plans of care in collaboration with the healthcare team
- Provide direct nursing care throughout the endoscopy patient experience, including pre-procedure, procedural, and post-procedure phases as assigned
- Administer medications and nursing interventions safely and effectively
- Monitor patient status, evaluate responses to care, and promptly communicate changes in condition
- Promote, advocate for, and protect patient health, safety, dignity, and rights
- Provide clear patient and family education regarding recovery, self-care, lifestyle considerations, and follow-up needs
- Document assessments, interventions, education, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner
- Apply infection prevention strategies and maintain a safe healing environment
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
- Participate in quality improvement activities and maintain professional nursing competency
- Respond to assigned call responsibilities within the required one-hour response time
