Travel Nursing Job Details

• Start Date: October 26, 2026
• Schedule: 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation; no guaranteed hours
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 6:45 a.m. to 7:15 p.m.
• Call: No call required
• Orientation: Must be available to arrive on Thursday, October 22, for an employee health appointment on Friday before the assignment begins
• Patient Ratios: Approximately 1:4 in progressive care and 1:3 in step-down ICU

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Hawaii, or willingness to apply upon acceptance and obtain the license before the start of the assignment
• At least 1 year of hospital-based acute-care nursing experience within the past year
• Progressive care unit, step-down ICU, and telemetry nursing experience preferred
• Current nursing credentials required for practice
• ACLS preferred
• Current PALS preferred
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Comfort working with electronic charting and medication-dispensing systems
• Willingness to float to acute-care units, including medical-surgical/pediatric, intensive care, and emergency departments, as needed

PCU Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary nursing care for patients in a cardiac progressive care and step-down ICU setting
• Perform continuous cardiac monitoring and accurately interpret telemetry strips
• Assess patients, recognize changes in clinical condition, and promptly communicate concerns to the care team
• Perform fingerstick blood glucose testing and other routine nursing procedures
• Administer medications safely using Pyxis and document care in Meditech
• Support patients requiring BIPAP and other progressive-care interventions
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate individualized patient care
• Float to other acute-care departments when needed while maintaining safe, high-quality nursing practice
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow unit, hospital, and professional nursing standards
