PACU Travel Nurse Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure eligible for practice in Washington
• Minimum of 2 years of recent SSSU, Same Day Surgery Unit, PACU, preoperative, or postoperative nursing experience
• Strong clinical skills in preoperative and postoperative care, PACU, Phase II recovery, endoscopy, and infusion services
• Ability to participate in a variable schedule and shared on-call rotation
• Charge nurse experience preferred

Perioperative Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients before and after surgical and procedural interventions
• Monitor patients in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit and Phase II recovery areas, recognizing and responding to post-anesthesia and postoperative complications
• Perform thorough nursing assessments and deliver patient-specific interventions throughout the perioperative process
• Provide perioperative education to patients and families, including procedure preparation and recovery instructions
• Float throughout outpatient services, including day surgery, endoscopy, the PACU, and the preoperative clinic
• Support hospital needs related to conscious sedation for special procedures
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to promote safe, efficient, and high-quality patient outcomes
• Participate in the shared on-call rotation as scheduled
