Join a collaborative telemetry team as a Travel Registered Nurse in Independence, Missouri. Travel RN Job Details

Telemetry Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Missouri
• At least 1 year of recent professional nursing experience, preferably in telemetry or progressive care
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Strong patient assessment, clinical judgment, and critical-thinking skills
• Experience managing patients receiving vasoactive medication infusions
• Ability to care for patients requiring BiPAP, heated high-flow nasal cannula, enteral feeding pumps, and infusion pumps
• Experience with central lines or PICC lines preferred
• Ability to document accurately in an electronic medical record (EMR)
• Positive attitude, adaptability, and a strong commitment to teamwork

Travel RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to telemetry patients throughout the shift
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and changes in patient condition
• Perform focused and comprehensive nursing assessments and promptly escalate clinical concerns
• Administer medications and manage vasoactive drips according to orders and unit standards
• Care for patients using BiPAP, heated high-flow oxygen, enteral feeding pumps, and IV infusion equipment
• Manage and assess central lines and PICC lines as appropriate
• Complete timely, accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
• Participate in bedside shift report, hourly rounding, and daily leadership rounds
• Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary care team to support safe, high-quality patient outcomes
• Float to designated medical-surgical units as needed and contribute to a positive team environment
