Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekend Requirement: Three weekend shifts during each four-week schedule; typically Friday and Saturday for night schedules or Saturday and Sunday for day schedules
• Patient Ratio: Approximately 4–5 patients per nurse
• Unit Size: 36 beds
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Floating: Other telemetry departments, medical-surgical, and progressive care units as needed

Travel Registered Nurse Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Missouri
• At least 1 year of recent registered nursing experience; cardiac telemetry experience strongly preferred
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Experience caring for post-cardiac catheterization patients, excluding sheath removal
• Experience caring for patients following pacemaker placement and those recovering from stroke
• Demonstrated experience managing amiodarone and Cardizem infusions
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-energy, team-oriented healthcare environment
• Willingness to float to comparable units when required

Cardiac Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, comprehensive nursing care to patients on a cardiac telemetry unit
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and changes in patient condition
• Care for patients with cardiac, neurological, and complex medical diagnoses
• Manage and monitor ordered cardiac medications and infusions, including amiodarone and Cardizem
• Care for patients following cardiac catheterization and pacemaker placement
• Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient status
• Collaborate with providers, nursing colleagues, patient care technicians, and interdisciplinary team members
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes in Meditech
• Maintain a professional clinical environment and contribute to high-quality patient care
