• Schedule: Four 10-hour day shifts per week, 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Call Requirement: Approximately 100 hours of standby call per 4-week schedule
• Weekend Coverage: Weekend standby call is required
• Patient Ratio: 1:1
• Floating: May float between units or nearby locations based on skill set and operational needs
• Clinical Environment: Six operating rooms, approximately 20 daily cases, and Epic charting

Operating Room RN Qualifications

• At least 2 years of Operating Room RN experience; previous travel nursing experience is required
• Strong circulating experience in orthopedic, spine, general, gynecologic, and selected cystoscopy and plastic surgery procedures
• Demonstrated experience with orthopedic and spine procedures, which represent the majority of the surgical volume
• Experience with total joint replacements, arthroscopic procedures, spinal fusions, fracture repairs, and general surgical cases
• Scrub experience is valued, but circulating experience is required
• Current Registered Nurse license in Oregon or a compact RN license in hand at submission
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Ability to provide perioperative nursing care to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
• Willingness to participate in required call, weekend standby coverage, floating, and holiday scheduling
• Reliable transportation for the travel nursing assignment
• Two professional references covering at least one year of experience within the last three years

Operating Room RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, efficient, and compassionate nursing care throughout the perioperative experience
• Circulate surgical cases in orthopedic, spine, general, gynecologic, and related specialties
• Support total joint replacements, arthroscopy, spinal fusion, laminectomy, fracture repair, hysterectomy, hernia repair, cholecystectomy, mastectomy, thyroidectomy, and other surgical procedures
• Prepare operating rooms, verify equipment and supplies, and promote adherence to surgical safety protocols
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia professionals, surgical technologists, and multidisciplinary support teams
• Complete accurate documentation in Epic and maintain comprehensive perioperative records
• Monitor patient status, anticipate surgical team needs, and advocate for patient safety
• Float between units or nearby locations when needed to support patient care operations
• Participate in scheduled standby call, weekend coverage, orientation, and required pre-start learning activities
