Travel Emergency Department RN Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in New Mexico
• At least 1 year of recent registered nursing experience; Emergency Department or emergency room nursing experience is strongly preferred
• Current required clinical certifications must be submitted before assignment consideration
• Ability to complete New Mexico fingerprinting and background-screening requirements before hire
• Travel candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the assignment location to qualify for travel status
• Strong patient assessment, prioritization, communication, and critical-thinking skills
• Commitment to safe, compassionate, and patient-centered emergency care

Emergency Department RN Responsibilities

• Deliver timely nursing care to patients presenting with emergency and urgent medical conditions
• Perform focused nursing assessments, monitor patient status, and promptly identify changes in condition
• Prioritize care according to patient acuity and Emergency Department needs
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with provider orders and nursing standards
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support effective patient outcomes
• Document assessments, interventions, reassessments, and patient responses accurately
• Provide clear patient education and discharge instructions to patients and families
• Maintain a calm, professional, and supportive presence in a fast-paced emergency care environment
