Locum Tenens RN Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,860–$1,960
- Healthcare Setting: Long-term acute care (LTAC)
- Location: Harrisburg, Pennsylvania
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week; 12-hour day shifts
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Start Date: October 19, 2026
- Assignment Duration: 13-week locum tenens assignment
- Openings: 5 Registered Nurse positions
- Work Arrangement: On-site
Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of bedside clinical nursing experience
- Previous intensive care unit (ICU) experience required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required before the first shift
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required before the first shift
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and teamwork skills
- Ability to provide safe, compassionate care to medically complex patients in a long-term acute care environment
LTAC Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive nursing assessments within the required timeframe and develop individualized plans of care.
- Provide direct patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Monitor patient conditions, identify changes in status, and communicate pertinent information promptly to the interdisciplinary care team.
- Document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and care updates accurately and in a timely manner.
- Participate in rehabilitation-focused care and support patients in achieving individualized clinical and functional goals.
- Initiate discharge planning upon admission and provide patient and family education in preparation for transition of care.
- Delegate appropriately and provide direction, training, and supervision to nursing support personnel.
- Promote a safe patient care environment by following infection prevention, safe handling, fall prevention, and workplace safety practices.
- Prioritize assignments, manage time effectively, and support efficient LTAC unit operations.
- Collaborate with nursing leadership and other healthcare professionals to promote positive outcomes and continuity of care.
- Assume charge nurse responsibilities following orientation, as requested.
