Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800–$1,890
• Location: Roswell, New Mexico

• Schedule: Nights, 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.; approximately three 12-hour shifts per week

• Patient Ratios: Typically 1:6, with occasional 1:7 assignments
• Uniform: Royal blue scrubs
• Technology: Cerner EMR and Mindray telemetry

Travel RN Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in New Mexico
• At least 1 year of recent medical-surgical nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification preferred
• Ability to provide required fingerprints for New Mexico travel nursing assignments
• Ability to work night shifts and every other weekend
• Adaptability to float as needed, including occasional assignments supporting ICU medical-surgical overflow or step-down patients

Medical-Surgical RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical patients in a fast-paced unit
• Manage patients with general medical-surgical, postoperative orthopedic, and general surgery needs
• Complete patient assessments, medication administration, care planning, patient education, and clinical documentation
• Support timely admissions, transfers, and discharges while maintaining safe, high-quality patient care
• Monitor telemetry patients and promptly identify changes in condition
• Float when needed to support ICU overflow or step-down patients within scope of practice
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote positive patient outcomes
